Warm Up With These Winter Juices

When the temperature outside drops we immediately start craving our winter “comfort” foods.  There are a number of reasons for this, but one that they are often warm and toasty!  Juicing and smoothies are cold and can make you feel like an icicle if your not careful.  But, by adding these warming ingredients, you can increase your blood flow and feel…well….warmer.

Try a couple of these winter warming juices below.  The warming ingredient is in red.

Apple cider with CinnamonWarming Cider
3 red apples
1 orange
sprinkle cinnamon & cloves on top

(mix in a Vitamix with added water for thicker smoothie or without water for applesauce)


 Pear Juice with fresh fruits

Spiced Pear Juice
3 pears
1″ knob of ginger
sprinkle cinnamon



 lemon juice and ginger


Immunity Shot 
1 lemon, peeled
1 or 2 garlic cloves
1″ knob of ginger
Top with dusting of cayenne pepper


Bloody mary cocktail


Spicy Veg Juice
5 beet greens
1 lemon, peeled
3 carrots
Mix in honey & top with cayenne pepper
