Kale, spinach, collard greens and other leafy green veggies are full of vitamins A and C, which supports our immune systems. These veggies are high in fiber, beta-carotene, folic acid, iron, lutein, and regenerative properties that are considered to be anti-cancer. What’s more, these regenerative properties can help us rebuild some of our most vital organs to keep us healthy until the next holiday party.

1 small lemon
1 inch ginger
3 kale leaves
2 collard green leaves

The original recipe called for cold-pressed hempseed oil, but I have found Udo’s Choice Oil 3-6-9 Blend to provide a mix of the essential fats that I want to promote. According to WebMD: “The benefits of omega-3s include reducing the risk of heart disease and stroke while helping to reduce symptoms of hypertension, depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), joint pain and other rheumatoid problems, as well as certain skin ailments. Some research has even shown that omega-3s can boost the immune system and help protect us from an array of illnesses including Alzheimer’s disease.” Adding good fats to my juices helps slow down the digestion of the drink and provides me with more nutrients with nearly no taste.
