How to Pick and Store Cranberries

This week, we were focused on the cranberry and it’s tart and tasty health benefits like reducing inflammation.  To make sure your fresh cranberry juice is delightfully energetic, yet smooth, here are a few tips:

  • Look for brightly colored red cranberries.  Give the greenish or pale ones a pass as they are not ripe and will super sour.
  • Rinse your cranberries well with fresh water and pick out any stems that may be left on the berries
  • You can keep cranberries in the fridge for 1 month.
  • Freeze fresh cranberries up to 3 months and use directly into your smoothies without thawing
