30 Days of Green Smoothies: Day 22

Today’s green drink was ok, but a bit heavy on the beet greens. It got me thinking of all the beginning juicers out there.

So many people I talk to about juicing and smoothies say they don’t know what combinations to try and they’re intimidated. Here are a few tips:

– decide if you want it it to be sweet, sour, or spicy

– apples, carrots, pears, and bananas are easy items to start with as a base

– spinach is one of the most mild greens, start there and then venture out to kale and collard greens

– keep it simple! The risk of a bad drink goes up with every item you add

Beet greens
Clementine
Lemon
Amazing Greens superfood
Raw protein powder

The lemon was quite nice, but the beet greens were strong in addition to the greens. Next time I’ll do one or the other 😉
